Re: Login problems squeeze

Hi again,

I tried the t5530 with these settings in /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/lts.conf
[00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx]
    XSERVER = vesa
    X_MODE_0 = 1280x1024
    X_HORZSYNC = "60-70"
    X_VERTREFRESH = "59-62"

and with that it works(!) but graphic is not very pleasing..

It has a via s3 graphic processor (see http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12659_div/12659_div.HTML) and a VIA Eden 800mhz proc with 128mb memory.

With that gpu, what settings would you recomend in lts.conf? I.E. what XSERVER is the one to use? Im surprised it cant work out of the box. This gpu is not very uncommon. Maybe it is possible to set it right some other way?

Regards  /George

I am not quite sure I understand your setup.  Let me know if I got it
right or wrong.  You have at least three computers, one installed as a
main server + thin client server (unknown hardware), one used as a
diskless workstation (HP t5630) and one used as thin client (unknown
hardware).  Both the thin client and the diskles workstation machines
work fine when booted as thin clients, but the diskless workstation
crash when the first user try to log in after boot.

I have not seen such problem myself, and have no experience nor
recommondation. :(

Could the machine run out of memory?  Is there any information in
/var/log/syslog on the main server about the client when the client
crash?
