Yeah.  The Solaris version of ldapsearch provide the -T argument to
disable this, see

The OpenLDAP ldapsearch would be a much more reliable command line
tool if it had the same option.

I did fix an issue related to this in some group related script in
debian-edu-config, but I guess there are more left.
