Yes, it's two issues regarding the same package.
I agree: Standallone clients only.
As for the Icon: It can be helpfull even to remind an administrating teacher,
but the way it looks now is too "alertive". A mere value "+114" indicating 14
new updates could be nice, or just a yellow dot that gets green if there are no
updates.
