Hm. I checked the src but couldnt find where/how /etc/default/enable-nat is 
created, so I give up.

But I noticed that /etc/init.d/enable-nat has the following code, which makes 
me wonder if we can blindly go as suggested, OTOH I cannot really comment, 
without knowing how /etc/default/enable-nat looks like :)

# Only enable by default if LTSP or lessdisks is installed
if [ -e /opt/ltsp -o -d /var/lib/lessdisks ] ; then
    NETWORK_TO_NAT="192.168.0.0/24"
fi
