Yes with a fresh install from today and LOCALDEV=False I see no changes.
If I make mount -a as root the USB stick will be mounted under:
/var/run/drives/usbdisk-sda1
But KDEs Konq. system:/media/sda1 fail with: Feature only available with hal.
Now the error "Feature ... " message comes direkt from the system it is
installed in english.
