[Bug 980] logging as a normal user on the server hangs the server

Well, tested the same procedure, had to do a bit hacking since the server
availible for tonights test is a laptop with one onboard nic, that defauts to
eth0, one firewire chich is set up as eth1 (using eth1394), and a wireless card,
were I need wireless-tools which is not on the CD. 

BUt seems like I cant produce the same output here. 

That means it's probably hw-related to the first test-server
