Well, it was not really removed.  It is just that the script to
generate this file was changed, and there is no code to include the
lessdisks options (yet?).

Hm, not sure why.  Do you have time to report this as a debian bug
against the ltsp-server package?

I'm not able to extract understanding from this block.  What do you
mean?

Do you have some measurements to share?  It would be interesting to
know how the boot time changed.  Perhaps report the slowdown to BTS as
a wishlist bug, asking for to get the boot times back to where they
used to be. :)

That is by design.  The new LTSP packages are supposed to work fine
without configuration, and only need a configuration file in the
special cases.

Not really.  It is debian under the roof, as is the case with
lessdisks as well.
