Not to make more work for anyone, but I've always assumed that the Seul/Edu
"Educational Application Index" ( http://richtech.ca/seul/ ) was the
'comprehensive' list of edu. software for Linux.
Perhaps it'd be useful to include what main-, popular- and/or edu-related-
Linux distros include each app.
e.g., taking this one randomly:

It's hard to tell just from the Seul/Edu record whether this app is even
prepackaged in _any_ Linux distro.
