Do we need two cars when traveling to the developer-gathering?

It seems to be 4 developers from Norway traveling by car to Erkelenz
Germany January 27-29th 2006. The reason going by care is that the
cost of traveling, and that it would be a social event.

After checking the lowest prices by plane, the cheapest plane costs
~1000 NOK (124 EUR). Then you need to pay for public transportation to
and from the airports. That also cost at least 600 NOK (75 EUR). You
have to go early on Friday, and travel home Monday. The price for four
persons are at least 6400 NOK (797 EUR). If you gonna travel home from
the gathering whit a plane, it's also a possibility on Sunday, but
then the price are ~2600 NOK (323 EUR). With public transportation the
total sum is 3200 NOK (399 EUR). The price will be around 12,800 NOK
(1594 EUR).

Traveling by care the cost for Skolelinux project is 0,-, where the
Lars Risans travel expenses are paid for by his job. We have to take
a long weekend don't showing up for work Friday and Monday. That's the
same "leave" that you have to do with the trip with plane with lowest
price. If four persons are going, the price is 6400 NOK. That's 797
EUR more to pay for the travel by plane compared to the care, and you
also have to take 2 workdays off from your job. When taking 1 day off
the cost would be 12,800 NOK for four persons using that alternative.

There are situations for contributors where they can't take a extra
day of. One day of is ok, two is not. But there are also people that
can take two days of :-). And to go by care is then an valid option,
and the price is absolutely best.

The car that Lars Risan has already 4 persons that wanna
contribute in Germany. Thats Herman, Lars, Jonas, and Knut. I don't
believe that we should get to crowded with 5 persons in that care
Jonas, because it's a long trip going from Norway to Erkelenz in
Germany (~1340 km).

The question now is if more people would travel by car, and
do we need two cars?
