* Guidelines

  Here are our guidelines for the realization of the project.

* SLX Community Network

  Develop the framework for the Skolelinux Community Network,
  an international website that will contain a network of
  services for schools, teachers, students and pupils.

* Bricks

  Create a program that makes it possible to build 3D models
  with the help of Lego-like bricks

* Migration to Kolab Server

  Create a migration solution from LDAP/WLS to Kolab Server.

* Flash and MPlayer

  Set up Flash and MPlayer to work out-of-the-box, so that
  users can watch NRK (television) broadcasts in the browser.

* Updates

  Simplify the central administration of Skolelinux by
  by making it easier to upgrade Skolelinux clients 
  in the network.

* Shared directories

  Administration of shared directories as a webmin-module.

* CMS-system

  Fix ez-publish to work out-of-the-box

* Printing quotas

  Create a system for printer quotas to be used by the teachers.

* User synchronization

  Create a system for user synchronization between Active Directory
  (Microsoft) and EDir (Novell) with Samba 3.0 and OpenLDAP.

* Laptop Profile

  Adaptation of the laptop profile to specific hardware (Debian 3.1).

* Desktop

  Simplification and Improvement of the Desktop and KSchoolmenu

* Test package

  Create a test package for the new user administration interface,
  that should work together with cerebrum

* Cerebrum

  Create a script for import and export of data between Cerebrum
  and LDAP/WLS.

* Word Lists/Dictionaries

  Improvement of word lists/dictionaries - by checking against public 
  databases.

* Virus protection

  Anti-virus system to protect Windows machines within the system.

* Device Detection

  Improvement of automatic device detection.

* Multimedia machine

  Linux-based multimedia machine

* Pedagogical software

  Overview of pedagogical software that ought to be developed.
