[Bug 629] Grub doesn't boot

Another option is to do the expert install.
When you boot from the install cd you write «expert» instead of writing «linux»
or just pressing enter.
You'll get a menu of steps to do in the installation, with one line marked.
This is the default step. Normally marks what the automatic installation would
have done for you right now, and a good choice if you don't know any better.
Steps above this default step is considered already done, but can be done over
again if needed.
Steps below the default step are alternative choices, plus future steps you
normally don't want to do yet.

When your installation comes to the step of installing grub, choose lilo
instead. If all is well with that, the «install grub» step is passed by, and you
can continue just as before.
