In order to work with the kernel the thin clients use you need to work 
inside the LTSP Build Environment. This is really nothing to do with the 
Debian packages. I suggest this URL as a starting point:

The LTSP mailing lists or IRC channel #ltsp is probably the best places 
to obtain further information.
