I installed Workstation using Norwegian Bokmål on an existing
skolelinux network, and completed the installation without any
problems.

After the installation, I tried to use the only user in LDAP to log
in.  This failed.  I discovered that 'getent passwd' was showing
the user petterr, while 'getent passwd petterr' did not show anything.
Another indicator that something was wrong was that I could
write 'ls ~pett<tab>' and the shell would fill out the username, but
the resulting 'ls ~petterr' did not work.

I tried '/etc/init.d/nscd reload' to see if that helped.  It didn't.
I then stopped nscd, and the user started work as it should.
When I started nscd again, the user was also working as it should.
