Indeed, it is not just what I consider, it's what dpkg will consider
required.  tuxpaint-data "Depends: tuxpaint-stamps" which
tuxpaint-stamps-default provides.  So unless you make your own
tuxpaint-stamps-foo package that "Provides: tuxpaint-stamps" (even if it is
only an empty package created with 'equivs') you will need my
tuxpaint-stamps-default package.
