Plans for tomorrow
Hi Everyone!
Here is a link to the previous mail I sent about our plans for tomorrow:
https://lists.debian.org/debian-dug-za/2024/08/msg00000.html
To recap:
Where: Woodstock Grill
https://www.eatout.co.za/venue/the-woodstock-grill-tap/
When: Saturday 31 August, from 12:30 until 19:00
There's also rugby from 17:00 to 19:00, if you're into that kind of thing.
Our agenda:
- Celebrate Debian's 31st birthday! We'll have some cake and beer,
although probably not at the same time
- Follow-up on our logo discusssion from last year (Tammy has sent
through some updated designs)
- ISO testing, we'll try to help the effort of releaseing Debian 12.7 /
11.11. We don't know exactly what time the ISOs will be available for
testing, but for those interested, we'll do some training on ISO testing
in the meantime! (includes things like setting up virtualisation,
writing images to installation media, using reportbug, setting up a
local MTA, using the Debian wiki, etc).
- General discussion and silliness
- Recap on DebConf24 and updates about the future MiniDebConf Cape Town
A few of us will be there from around 12:00 onwards, but we have the
venue the whole afternoon and they're open until late. If you only want
to drop in for a short bit to say hi, that's fine too!
See you there,
-Jonathan
