Re: [Debian-NYC] More workshops?

Hi,

I've spent most of my vacation trying to put into words the best way
to say what I feel about this, but I think I should just say it..

I sent my email for a specific purpose (motivating everyone to "just
do it" in organizing things), and I was sort of surprised that this
response was almost exactly oppisite: "we are too busy, don't bother."
Of course, that's not exactly what it said, but that's probably how
I'd interpret it.

Everyone is always busy, but if someone want to and can arrange
something to teach, they should always be motivated to. Then, people
will come, and it will be great, and everyone will be very appreciative.

So, to those who have ideas about things, try starting something.
Make a tentative outline (which will prompt lots of revisions from the
internet, and you'll end up with a nice outline within a few days), or
bounce your ideas about what could be next on IRC, and the rest will
take care of itself.

Pretty much exactly what the last workshops have covered. Some of the
past workshop wiki pages list follow up reading which is exactly what
schultmc suggested...

For now, once people start saying it's not worth my time...

I had hoped to spend my time or some more targeted outreach workshops,
with others stepping up to manage the "developer's" workshops.

Thanks for listening to this babbling,
