Hello all and please excuse the off-topic post.  On September 20th, the
Software Freedom Law Center is celebrating Software Freedom Day and we'd
like to invite the Debian community to attend and help us celebrate
software freedom and 25 years of GNU greatness.  The invite is below.
Feel free to pass it on to interested parties.

To be clear, the Software Freedom Day event is asking each area group that is involved in software freedom to have at least one representative there who is prepared to talk for about 3-5 minutes on the importance of software freedom to the project and what they've done over the past year in that regard.

There is also the opportunity for each group to contribute to a written program in addition to their project info, a short statement of their choosing. A take home message if you will.

There will be plenty of opportunity for much sharing of stories about free software from all, but we're looking for at least one person from each group to commit to giving an "un/official" update or overview.

This will be a fun networking event with a DJ and will be held at Limewire, (477 bway I think) in Chinatown.

cheers,

ƒorest
