Indeed, defoma is to blame that it doen't handle non-existing
files not properly. The code was generated with dh_installdefoma.
Anyway, since defoma is gone now and testing version of lmodern
don't use defoma anymore, the only thing we can do is close this
bug, there is nothing we can do about it.
