Logging in dpkg
After much time spent on trying to get tetex-bin to configure...
I'd like to put a vote in for the dpkg action logging agenda item(s) in
the TODO list. I've been stymied by a --configure error generated by a
dpkg post-installation script on the tetex-bin (stable) package. The
FILES section of the dpkg man page doesn't list any log files and after
too much digging I've come up with nothing as pertains to logging info
produced by dpkg other than the agenda items in the TODO list.
thanks,
jeff
P.S. You may not want to know the history of this situation, but
basically it results from me moving to the testing environment (to get
openoffice since many people seem to use msword) from stable and tetex
not working completely in testing...so I'm trying to move back to
stable...at least as far as tetex is concerned.
