OK, I had the wrong libfreetype6 library in
Woody
which was causing a seg fault in
gnome-font-install.
Anyway after hours of tracking down the
problem,
the solution was manually installing the proper
library.
Why did dpkg -P libfreetype6 not remove
the
library?
