Bug#208992: Cannot reproduce: Broken I18N
> The German l10n of the dselect help text is broken in an UTF-8 xterm
> (LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF-8), it reads:
BTW, you shouldn't set LC_ALL, but LANG.
I cannot reproduce this behaviour. dselect shows correct national
characters in both de_DE and de_DE.UTF-8 (and fr_FR.UTF-8) on my machine.
The only thing that's not correct is that the main menu doesn't line up
as dselect believes that 1 byte = 1 character, but - according to
Wichert - this is not a bug; and it is not restricted to the German
locale anyway.
Bye,
Mike
