Uniform database for DPKG and RPM?

I have used ALIEN (and love it) to install packages from SuSE and others, but 
could the Debian package database be copied as the RPM database, using the 
RedHat package "rpmdb-redhat" (installed on my system) as the reference, so 
that any packages installed are recognized by both.
