Ok, I tried the same in my sid environment with TeX Live 2015 (Debian
version), and got similar problems with the Englsih release manual.
The problem is that the *main*text*font* was completely messed up.

Reading through the logs it seems that fontconfig delivers a wrong
font in my case when asked for Palatino.

I will try later in a jessie system.

So just to be clear: We are talking about the same problem here, the
Russian and the English, in all cases the fonts selected / used
when producing the pdf are broken at times. Is this correct?

I will check with TL2014 in jessie and TL2015 now, and see where the
problem is.

Hilmar: If you replace the style in dblatex with simple or so, can
you produce both tex files and send the diff only of the header of
the tex files? Thanks.

All the best

Norbert
