Bug#603455: release-notes: Please also document that dpi now defaults to 96 and how to change it
Package: release-notes
Severity: normal
Hi,
As far as I know https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23705
still applies. May I suggest something like this:
Starting with Xorg 1.7 the DPI defaults to 96, unless using proprietary
drivers, which still use the auto-detected value. This can make your
fonts look very small on a high DPI display. In case you want to change
the DPI run:
xrandr --dpi <value>
(not tested)

Andrei
