Section 4.5.4 recommends doing "apt-get upgrade". However, very likely this will lead to upgrade of udev, and section 4.5.5 says than one needs to upgrade kernel before udev.

4.5.4 and 4.5.5 should be swapped and the last paragraph of 4.1.5 updated accordingly.

Since users are already following these upgrade instructions and using them
as the basis of upgrade reports, we should be conservative in the changes we
make to these instructions now - only changing when we have a concrete bug
that we're trying to fix.  So I'm closing this bug report.
