DDP manpages

Hi,

the framework to manage translations of Debian man pages has not been
finished yet, but it is time to let other translators play with it.
Files are available at:
       http://cvs.debian.org/manpages/?cvsroot=debian-doc
Layout is very similar to how webwml works, each language has its own
subdirectory, and a check_trans.pl script tells which documents are
outdated.  For instance:
  $ ./check_trans.pl -q french
  NeedToUpdate french/base-config/base-config.fr.8 from version 1.1 to version 1.2
  NeedToUpdate french/debconf/dpkg-reconfigure.fr.8.pod from version 1.1 to version 1.2
  [...]

The first line tells that English version has been changed, but French
version has not been synced. Translator can run
  $ cvs diff -r 1.1 -r 1.2 english/base-config/base-config.8
and incorporate changes in his French file.

As man pages are not managed by Debian developers in this CVS area,
specific markup cannot be inserted into files, contrary to webwml.
Meta-data are put in a special file called INFOS. Please read
README.trans to learn how meta-data are used.

Documents managed by INFOS files are automatically extracted from new
uploaded packages, and compared to the ones in this CVS area. A daily
report tells which files have changed. It is sent to the virtual
ddp-manpages package at PTS (as well as CVS commit logs), refer to
  http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/ch-resources#s-pkg-tracking-system
for informations on subscribing.

There is no interaction with DD, translators must file bug reports.

Comments, contributors, translations, etc are welcome.

Denis
