I just noticed to a lot of packages lost their 'newer package available' overnight.

Looks like support for version=4 watch files regressed.

ITYM Version: 5?

No, I mean version=4. That's what all the packages in the Debian GIS team still use because uscan in trixie doesn't support version 5 (only the backport does).

The development of version 5 features has almost certainly caused this regression with older watch file versions.

But no, my DDPO page currently has zero filled cells in the Watch column (there was a small amount remaining yesterday, and I thought there could be a pattern found there, but it now looks like they were just stale) and my packages use a mix of d/watch versions.

The uscan errors are gone from DMD now too.

Kind Regards,

Bas

I recently checked my DDPO page and was confused why my watch field is empty.

It appears that uscan in DDPO still works for some packages that use watch version 4 but most packages don't seem to be showing it.

For example, this person's DDPO dashboard [1] shows the uscan version for python-gphoto2 which uses version 4 but doesn't show it for the rest of the packages that use version 4
