If you want to listen with headphones, you need a USB-C to 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter cable. Additionally, you have to manually turn on the headphones in Pavucontrol every time.you should really report this issue as a bug. This mailing list is not a BTS (bug tracking system). I recommend to report this issue to the source package * `pulseaudio` or `pipewire` You can reach the BTS by using the shell command `reportbug`. The interactive reportbug-wizard will guide you through the creation process of the report, by using the shell command $> reportbug pulseaudio
Just an additional information. That you need to manually turn on headphones in Pavucontrol let me guess that there is a `udev` configuration/rule is missing. The udev functionality in Debian is currently provided as a systemd service whose rules are provided by the services (aka. system daemons) itself, just as side note. I searched for the udev-rules which maybe affected and found the following files, depending on pulseaudio and pipewire: * pulseaudio:/usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/profile-sets/simple-headphones-mic.conf
* pipewire-bin:/usr/share/alsa-card-profile/mixer/profile-sets/simple-headphones-mic.conf
In summary, it confirms that the source packages to which the bug reports should go are correct. You can use this information in your report. Greets, Dirk =)
