Hello Friends,
Hey Gerard =)
Addendum to: Acer Aspire Go 15: No sound: The 3.5 mm headphone jack for the headphones also doesn't work. If you want to listen with headphones, you need a USB-C to 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter cable. Additionally, you have to manually turn on the headphones in Pavucontrol every time.
you should really report this issue as a bug. This mailing list is
not a BTS (bug tracking system). I recommend to report this issue to
the source package
* `pulseaudio` or `pipewire`
You can reach the BTS by using the shell command `reportbug`. The
interactive reportbug-wizard will guide you through the creation
process of the report, by using the shell command
$> reportbug pulseaudio
If you will be ask for the binary package in the first step choose
"5 pulseaudio PulseAudio sound server"
I think it's a deeper issue, maybe in a kernel module, but the most
bugs which are nearly the same as your one can found in the second
step of the guided process.
After reporting this bug you will get a Bug #ticket-no via email,
which you can use like a mailing list, like this one.
Greets, Dirk.
PS: Anybody else cannot do this first creation step for you, because
`reportbug` will send some system information, like version
numbers, etc., along with your report.
PPS: `reportbug` requires a configured Exim4 `exim4-daemon-light`
installation. In your case I recommend to configure Exim4 using
$> sudo dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config
as
"mail sent by smarthost; no local mail"
The "smarthost" is the SMTP server of your ISP. If you need more
assistance to configure Exim4 then I can guide you via private
mail-communication.
