Bug#849083: ITP: libmail-rbl-perl -- Perform queries to blacklists

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Scott Kitterman <scott@kitterman.com>

* Package name    : libmail-rbl-perl
  Version         : 1.04
  Upstream Author : Luis E. Muñoz <luismunoz@cpan.org>
* URL             : http://search.cpan.org/dist/Mail-RBL/
* License         : Artistic
  Programming Lang: Perl
  Description : Perl extension to access RBL-style host verification services

 Mail::RBL eases the task of checking if a given host is in the list. The
 methods available are described below:
 .
 - new(suffix, resolver): Creates a list handle
 - check($host): either a hostname or an IP address
 - check_rhsbl($host): queries RHSBLs instead of IP-based lists, useful for
   using lists such as some of http://www.rfc-ignorant.org/

This is intended to be maintained in the Debian Perl Group.

Although not recently updated, it seems to do what it needs to do. This is
required as a dependency for mt-policyd, which I'm also working on getting
into Debian (See #783067 for information on that).
