Wait... What? So are you saying that a package name can't contain a
two-letter code that has multiple meanings[1]? Maybe all websites
under ".kz"[2] ccTLD (from Kazakhstan) are nazi-related?

I don't know any German (besides the words "ja" and "nein") and wasn't
aware of the meaning - so as was the package maintainer.

I hope that you didn't discouraged him from ever contributing with
Debian again. His package is in the archive for over two years[3] and
looks like no one felt offended enough to fill a bug before.

TL;DR: the holocaust is a *very* sensible topic in today's Germany,
but you can't ask the entire world to avoid words or abbreviations
that can remind you of a sad part of your country's history.
