If we are going to have an info reader installed can it please bepinfo instead of info? It's _so_ much better.
I don't think that is a convincing reason to install info/pinfo as part of standard. I read gcc docs always online with a web browser, yet I don't insist chromium/firefox or even lynx being standard priority.
Checking the popcon[1] https://qa.debian.org/popcon.php?package=texinfoWe see that info is ranked 115 on installed list, yet it is also ranked at position 15 in "old" list (installed but not being used).
Riku, brb, apt-get removing info and texinfo ffrom my systems...[1] insert here the usual disclaimer that popcon is not to be taken as authorative source of anything, just to provide general idea
