Bug#742540: general: Get the "Oh no!" message after moving the top menu bar to the left side of then screen

After moving the top menu bar to the left side of the screen I am forced to
logout, and then on every login I am forced to logout.
If I knew which config files to edit I could login as another user and repair
the problem.

This install is in a VirtualBox, and the gnomes is in fallback mode. I don't
know what else might help reproduce this bug.
