No, the check only involves the source version. My toolchain packages still build fine, e.g. the binutils-mingw-w64 3 source package builds the binutils-mingw-w64 2.24-3+3 binary package without complaint from dpkg-dev. But if I change the source version to 3-1: dpkg-source: error: can't build with source format '3.0 (native)': native package version may not have a revision Regards, Stephen
