[Note: I am sending this email to both debian-devel and pkg-cyrus-sasl2, as the pkg-cyrus-sasl2 list has low a population of subscribers, and changes to cyrus-sasl2 have the potential impact many other packages.] The cyrus-sasl2 package has seen better days, and I am trying to clean it up and get it into better shape. Thanks to the efforts of Ondřej Surý and Adam Conrad, the package has not been stagnant, but the bugs have still been accumulating. In June of 2013, version 2.1.26 was uploaded into experimental. It has now been there for 7 months, and in that time there have not been any bug reports filed that apply to only the package in experimental. I imagine that this more a result of lack of use, as opposed to absence of bugs. That said, I am curious if there would be any opposition to an upload of cyrus-sasl2 2.1.26 into unstable. Aside from opposition, are there any other comments that anyone would like to offer in regard to this? For the time being, I plan to continue my work on the 2.1.25 version that is currently in unstable (merging into the experimental version as appropriate). Regards, -Roberto -- Roberto C.
