I presume the subject of this thread explains why my emacs+notmuch setup has lost the ability to show me pdfs. I only very rarely get attachments, so the irritation of saving the file and then pointing evince at it by hand was minor enough that I'd not got round to finding out what the problem was. Are you really saying that intentionally inflicting such low-grade breakage and annoyance on your users is what you think it takes to encourage them to write software for you? This hardly seems compatible with our social contract. Also, I note that there seems to be no warning that you've done this in the NEWS or README files -- did you document this vandalism anywhere?
