Severity: wishlist
Owner: Toby Smithe <tsmithe@ubuntu.com>

* Package name    : sdl-audioin
  Version         : 0.3-rc1
  Upstream Author : Tyler Montbriand <tsm@accesscomm.ca>
* URL             : http://burningsmell.org/sdl_audioin/

  Programming Lang: C
  Description : Library to add audio input support to SDL

This source package builds three small binaries.
Extracts from the control file are given below.

I need this package, despite its age and despite the continuing development of SDL
itself, in order to continue packaging PEBL (the Psychology Experiment Building
Language) - see #650775. I have spoken with the author of PEBL, who notes that this
library is needed until SDL provides audio input support by itself (which, I hear, is
on the roadmap).

Package: libsdl-audioin0-dev
Description: Library to add audio input support to SDL - development files
 SDL_audioin adds audio input support to SDL, and is modelelled after SDL's
 audio output subsystem, providing a very similar simple API.
 .
 This package contains the development files.

Package: sdl-scope
Description: Demo oscilloscope for libsdl-audioin
 SDL_Scope is a simple example application that reads sound from a sound
 card and displays it on the screen.
 .
 Using it is simple - just run it, and it goes. It features:
  * Linux and Windows crossplatform interoperability
  * Low CPU use and quick response time via partial redraws
  * Resizable window
  * Fullscreen capability: alt-enter toggles
