Yeah, and that was a little unfortunate. There are packages I've not
converted to multiarch yet because I don't really want to use an
experimental compat level. Normally debhelper sticks to one compat level
per release, but it would have been nice (for my uses at least) to just
call 9 done with multiarch and start 10.
