Description : verify HTTPS sites through notary servers

Perspectives is an approach to help clients securely identify Internet servers
in order to avoid "man-in-the-middle" attacks, by querying "network notaries"
located in multiple vantage points across the Internet.
  .
This extension enables bypassing HTTPS security warnings when appropriate.

perspectives uses multiple network notary servers to track sites over time and
from different networks to establish additional information about the
consistancy of certificates presented to the browser, and can be used to
override security exceptions in some cases.

projects such as monkeysphere allow somewhat similar functionality, although
monkeysphere requires the user to be well connected in the GPG web of trust in
order to be useful, whereas perspectives uses trusted notaries which require
little to no configuration to the end user.

i'd like to package the firefox extension which seems to be straightforward,
and eventually the notary servers as well.

live well,
  vagrant
