| Yes, but however pkg-config won't yet find things in
| /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pkgconfig, so take care of putting .pc files
| in /usr/lib/pkgconfig.

As long as you're using pkg-config newer than 0.16.0-1 which was
uploaded in February 2005, it'll look in
/usr/lib/pkgconfig/x86_64-linux-gnu .

I guess I should change that to /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pkgconfig, but
you can actually multiarchify packages with .pc files already.
