Me either.  My comment location was a bit confusing.

As long as new tool is better maintained and have less problem (floating
servce handling, protection from system shutdown with multiple key
inputs, ....) I would love to get new tool.  I am curious too.

When packaging this new tool, please check if this new tool suffer
proplem reported to sysv-rc-conf.
