Bug#421819: ITP: slang-xfig -- produce plots and drawings through Xfig's fig2dev in S-Lang

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Rafael Laboissiere <rafael@debian.org>

* Package name    : slang-xfig
  Version         : 0~svn.114
  Upstream Author : John E. Davis <davis@space.mit.edu>
* URL             : http://www.jedsoft.org/fun/slxfig/
* License         : GPL
  Programming Lang: S-Lang
  Description : produce plots and drawings through Xfig's fig2dev in S-Lang

SLxfig is a S-Lang module that produces plots, drawings, etc in a
variety of formats (.ps, .eps, .png, .jpeg, etc). It accomplishes this
via S-Lang scripts that automatically run Xfig's fig2dev and LaTeX to
produce the desired output format.

The upstream author has not yet released slxfig in tarball form, so the code
was taken from the upstream SVN repository (hence the funny version
0~svn.114). A preliminary release of the package is available in the
apt-getable repository http://people.debian.org/~rafael/slxfig/

The package will be maintained by the Debian JED Group. The Debian-related
files can be accessed at:
