No, wait. Probably you just misunderstood me. What I meant is something like:

License: GPL

or, if the case,

License: GPL, MIT, ...

If the license is free, but it's not a "standard" one, one could always write:

License: see debian/copyright.


I repeat, it's just for giving developers the chance to have a quick
look of what the license is. If it's possible to have "custom" fields,
I'll do that only on packages maintained by Debian-Med.
