IIUC, these fields are (can be) automatically filled by intltool, using
the translations in PO files. So for translators the whole process is
transparent, they only need to deal with PO files.

The tool is there, it's just up to the individual software writer if
he/she wants to set up the infrastructure for translating desktop file.
