You should be more sorry about posting without reading the other
threads about this problem (which is not related to udev).

Installing, purging and reinstalling udev without a reboot in between
is not supported and not worth supporting.
I'll gladly hear about all my mistakes and other shortcomings I no
doubt have -- as long as it ALSO gets my any closer to a solution...
