For those that didn't see it on irc there is also a replacement for
cdrecord called cdrskin based on the JS free libburn. The BIG problem
with it is that it can only burn data CDs in disk-at-once mode. No TAO
or audio capabilities.

For anyone intrested Eduart Block and some others have packaged it in
the last 24h: svn.debian.org/svn/collab-maint/deb-maint/cdrskin/trunk

I know it is far from being a full replacement but good enough to
e.g. burn Debian CDs.
