Lets just have a short comment. For more search the mailinglist or
google.

CDBS has pushed out all the logic behind building a package into
external files to the extend that you can have a 2 line rules file.
On the other hand you can have a lot more to modify the behaviour of
cdbs.

That amount of abstraction is extremly hard to follow if you don't use
cdbs yourself. Debuging the build process becomes nearly impossible
without first understanding all of cdbs. The learning curve is way to
steep.
