Just tried it on amd64.

fsck logs are OK, /var/log/dmesg.0 is root:root instead of root:adm.
bottlogd is still broken.

Correct.

Did not try it yet.

Well, the reboot already used the new scripts and it went OK.

I'd say yes, but it scrolls too fast, and first fonty then gdm makes
scrollback impossible (and framebuffer with bigger resolution is out of
question because the fglrx driver does not like it).

Without a working bootlogd it is hard to tell.
