No, but I was definitely influenced by my (imperfect) understanding of
what ucf was designed to achieve.

I did not use ucf because at the time I wanted to use it, I found its
documentation too difficult to understand -- it seemed preoccupied with
Emacs LISP files and didn't discuss more general usage.  It's possible
that deficiency has since been corrected.
