Pros: Well, these updates don't break any thing.
Cons: There is no need to treat them special, or do security updates.
Furthermore, it's easy to get them from backports.org.

Perhaps, adding some information about how easy it's to get them from
there would however be a good idea. (And, of course, if someone does a
"developers backport collection", including keyring,
developers-reference, dpatch, debhelper etc, this might also be a good
collection - but this has than a different target group than volatile.)
